Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the mechanical design and engineering of

large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects

, including pumping stations, treatment systems, and distribution networks. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical design and engineering for water treatment plants, wastewater systems, and pumping stations. Develop detailed designs for mechanical systems, pipework, equipment layouts, and rotating machinery. Manage end-to-end project execution: planning, design, installation, testing, and commissioning. Oversee preparation and review of technical documents, BOQs, specifications, and tender packages. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality engineering output. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams to meet project objectives. Ensure compliance with national and international standards, safety norms, and project requirements. Support testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance verification at site.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred). 10+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering design. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, rotating equipment, sensors, and control integration. Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis tools (PLM and relevant engineering software). * Strong leadership, project coordination, and communication skills.
