Position Title:

Mechanical Engineer

Role Purpose:

To design, develop, test, and oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, machines, and equipment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development

Create and review mechanical designs, technical drawings, and specifications. Develop innovative solutions for mechanical systems and processes.

Project Execution

Plan, execute, and monitor mechanical engineering projects. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, civil, production, etc.).

Installation & Maintenance

Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment. Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and systems.

Quality & Safety

Ensure all designs and operations comply with safety standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot system malfunctions.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain technical records, drawings, manuals, and project documentation. Provide regular progress reports to management.

Vendor & Client Coordination

Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure quality compliance. Interact with clients and contractors to resolve technical issues.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.). Good understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. Analytical and problem-solving ability. Strong project management and teamwork skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech). Master's Degree (optional, preferred for senior positions). 0-2 years of experience for entry-level / 3-8 years for mid-level / 8+ years for senior level.
