Job Description

Qualifications: - Candidates should be graduates in Mechanical engineering from reputed institutes with 12 to 15 years' experience in an EPC / Technical service of operating company in the field of Refinery, Oil & Gas, water and systems, Ammonia, Polymer and Petrochemical projects possessing experience in preparation of PFD / E&M Balance, P&IDs, Process datasheets, Hydraulics, Operating Manual and Technical procurement of Process equipment/Packages. The candidates should be conversant with international codes & standards.
The main responsibilities are: -
Comprehensive understanding of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics and the ability to apply these to novel applications.
Assist with Management and provide input into the plant design by reviewing the 3D model and overall facility arrangement (Plot Plan).
Preparing process equipment and instrument related documents for project requirement within a given time frame.
Working on Basic, FEED, or detailed engineering design complied with project requirements.
Can perform calculations for pressure vessels, pipe size calculations, pipe thickness calculations, heat exchanger sizing, storage tank sizing as per applicable codes and standards.
Review design documents / drawings prepared by the design team.
Ensuring design guidelines and relevant engineering codes and standards
Interface with other disciplines and with suppliers to evaluate and refine components for process compatibility.
Responsible for technical clarification with customer and vendors, engineering, and release of RFQs (purchasing specifications) for system and components such as water treatment, instrument air supply, feed water system, cooling system, ASU, pumps, heat exchangers, pipes, flow meters, instrumentation, etc.
Estimation of the costing for non-standard items, fabricated items, understanding and preparation of BOM from P &ID, utility equipment selection.
Vendor Pre-Bid Engineering - RFP preparation, bid clarification and bid evaluation.
Vendor Post Bid Engineering - Review of documents and approval, coordination with Vendor and internal team.
Participate and help plan field-commissioning activities including Operational Readiness Inspections (ORI) / Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR), Plant Start-up.
Technical Competencies
Demonstrable working experience in the oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, industrial gases, or related industries.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to complete full project designs and integrations (green field and/or brown field projects).
Familiar with internationally recognized codes and standards (ASME, NFPA, API, NEC, PED, ISO, IEC, GB, etc.
Software skill requirement:
Solid works, Autodesk inventor, Auto cad, HTRI,
