In line with our increasing business, we are looking for qualified and experienced candidates for the following position for our office in Noida, India
AFRY's Energy Division, one of the world's largest and most successful independent energy consulting and engineering firms and a leader in its main practice areas, provides technical consulting, engineering, supervision and project management services within the areas of hydropower, thermal power, nuclear power, renewables and transmission & distribution. We help clients to effectively manage their assets throughout the entire business life-cycle underpinned by in-depth sector knowledge. We deliver both new build and rehabilitation projects, as well as services relating to existing assets.
AFRY's Hydro Division is a leading name in Electromechanical technical consulting with over 500 Hydropower Plant Projects, 450 Power Transmission Projects, 170 Power Distribution Projects, 200 Dams and Reservoir Projects, 150 Tunnels and Shafts (total length over 1200 km) in more than 50 countries.

: * Candidate should understand:

• Sound understanding and applying conceptual mechanical knowledge.
• Basic design Calculation of Hydro Turbines, MEP system of hydroelectric power projects.
• Preparation of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams for mechanical systems like HVAC, Cooling water system, Fire protection system, Drainage & Dewatering system etc.
• Preparation of Plant layout drawings of Hydro Electric & Pump Turbine Stations
• Preparation of Tender Specifications & Bid Evaluation of Hydro Turbines & Mechanical Systems
• Hand experience to work on SIMSEN software and perform transient analysis
• Review of Computed Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and stress analysis of the hydro equipment components
• Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at vendor works. Assist inspections during testing and evaluate test results of equipment, both if necessary. Also, perform Final inspections at the Manufacturer's workshop when required by the project.
• High level of competency in Preparation Design Basis reports, Technical Due Diligence reports and Site Equipment Inspections
• Review of Detail Engineering drawings & documents of Major Equipment & Mechanical Systems.
• Strong knowledge in one or several Hydro products / components/ Systems.
• Hands on experience in execution of engineering of hydro projects & detailed know how on hydro Turbine technology & design.
• Participation in the meeting with the internal & External Stakeholders
• Review and preparation of Equipment construction schedule in MS-Project
• Exercise technical discretion and decision making; address & resolve site & customer related issues.
• Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort to maintain healthy group dynamics.
• Good Coordination with all other engineering disciplines for interface and other works.
• Shall be able to resolve any technical issue during execution of project with interfacing functions.
• Apply all the relevant HSE requirements and criteria in the engineering work and decisions.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in designing and execution of hydro projects.
• Knowledge in PSP project design and selection of machine.
• Good English in writing & speaking.
• Familiar with the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable. Knowledge of many basic design techniques and analysis methods
