Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (MEP & Pipeline Projects)

Job Brief

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in MEP systems for buildings and pipeline projects in the oil & gas sector. The role involves on-site execution, billing, technical documentation, review of test reports and data sheets, and preparation of estimates and BOQs. The engineer should possess solid technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical parameters related to equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise execution of MEP works in building projects

Execute and monitor mechanical works for oil & gas pipeline projects, including large-diameter pipelines

Study and review technical data sheets, drawings, and specifications for mechanical and electromechanical equipment

Prepare and verify measurements, billing, estimates, and BOQs

Review test reports, inspection records, and commissioning documents for mechanical systems

Coordinate with electrical, civil, and instrumentation teams to ensure system integration

Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, method statements, and as-built records

Support procurement by evaluating technical submittals and vendor documents

Required Technical Skills

MEP systems execution (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting)

Oil & gas pipeline execution, preferably large-diameter pipelines

Reading and interpretation of mechanical and electrical drawings

Understanding of equipment parameters, performance data, and testing requirements

Estimation, BOQ preparation, and billing

Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and test documentation

Site coordination and execution planning

Software Skills

AutoCAD (mandatory)

MS Excel for billing, estimation, and reporting

Basic knowledge of project documentation tools

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Proven experience in MEP building projects and/or oil & gas pipeline projects

Prior experience with large-diameter pipeline execution and documentation is preferred
