Job Description

A Mechanical Design Engineer designs, develops, and tests mechanical systems and products, applying physics and engineering principles from concept to manufacturing, using CAD software to create models and drawings, and collaborating with teams to meet technical requirements for machinery, robotics, or other devices. Key duties involve client consultation, technical research, prototyping, testing, and documentation, while required skills include CAD proficiency, problem-solving, project management, and knowledge of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

Create and modify mechanical designs for new and existing products, machinery, tools, and components.

Technical Documentation:

Develop detailed 2D/3D CAD models, technical drawings, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical specifications.

Analysis & Testing:

Conduct technical research, create mathematical models, build and test prototypes, and ensure product quality and performance.

Collaboration:

Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and multidisciplinary teams to bring designs to production.

Project Management:

Manage design projects from concept through commercialization, meeting objectives and timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Engineering Knowledge:

Strong grasp of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
