: Junior Mechanical Engineer - Building
Management Systems & Energy Optimization

About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer passionate about Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy
optimization. In this role, you will support the design, integration, and deployment of smart building solutions that monitor,
control, and optimize HVAC and other building systems. The role combines engineering fundamentals with exposure to
IoT driven automation and analytics to enhance comfort, reduce energy use, and lower carbon footprint.
Key Responsibilities
? Prepare BMS IO summaries, BOQs, and schematics for project execution.
? Assist in developing BMS architecture, including controller selection, field device selection and DDC panel design.
? Support in writing and validating advanced control sequences and safety interlocks for HVAC and other building
systems. Perform controller programming, testing, and debugging to implement required operating sequences.
? Assist in the design, execution, and verification of energy efficiency projects including retrofits, and advanced
control strategies. Work with senior engineers on energy optimization strategies such as scheduling, setpoint
resets, demand control, and advanced HVAC controls and sequencing.
? Contribute to defining energy performance KPIs and dashboards for monitoring efficiency.
? Participate in testing, commissioning, and verification of BMS and energy management systems.
? Collaborate with software and hardware teams for IoT platform integration.
? Coordinate with stakeholders including clients, vendors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and
timely issue resolution.
? Assist in billing preparation, documentation, and project reporting to support commercial and contractual
compliance.
? Provide post-handover technical support to clients, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement of
building performance.
? Participate in client meetings, business development activities, and application demos to potential clients,
showcasing solutions and building strong customer relationships.
? Stay updated on emerging trends in building automation, energy management, and smart building technologies.
Desired Skills & Knowledge
? Good understanding of various building systems and services.
? Strong foundation in mechanical engineering especially HVAC system design concepts and centralized HVAC
systems.
? Knowledge of BMS concepts, control logic, and automation principles. Understanding of controller programing
and open communication protocols like BACnet or Modbus is an advantage.
? Familiarity with energy optimization methods and performance monitoring.
? Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and technical documentation tools.
? Ability to read and interpret control wiring diagrams, panel drawings, HVAC schematics, and related technical
documents.
? Very good problem solving ability with strong teamwork, communication and management skills.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.? Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP Design/MEP Project Management/MEP Operations/BMS Design/Energy
Audits & Optimization.
? Exposure to IoT platforms, energy management, or building automation will be a plus.
