Role Description
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing machine operations, maintaining mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth production processes, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and safety in the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement quick corrective actions.
Ensure minimum downtime and smooth functioning of production machines.
2. Production Support
Monitor machine performance and support daily production activities.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure optimal machine utilization.
Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines.
3. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all mechanical operations follow safety standards and factory policies.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential hazards.
Maintain compliance with ISO, quality, and industrial safety guidelines.
4. Process Improvement
Analyse production processes and suggest improvements.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and energy-efficient solutions.
Work on continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Lean, 5S).
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of maintenance tasks, spare parts usage, and machine histories.
Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to management.
Coordinate with vendors for spare parts and service requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in a factory or manufacturing environment (preferred).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in shifts and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
