Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Mechanical Engineer

to join our team, specializing in the design and execution of water and wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical systems and have a proven ability to translate project specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) into precise, actionable engineering drawings. This is a role for a top-tier candidate with exceptional technical proficiency and a meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and engineering of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including piping, pumps, filtration units, and other related equipment. Generate detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks

. Accurately create comprehensive drawings and documentation by reading and interpreting project specifications, including the

Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

, to ensure all components are accounted for. Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams (civil, process, and electrical engineers) to ensure design integration and project success. Review and approve vendor drawings, submittals, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Conduct technical calculations for system sizing, pressure losses, and material selection. Ensure all work adheres to relevant engineering codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the design of mechanical systems within the water or wastewater treatment industry.

Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks

is mandatory. Candidates will be assessed on their ability to produce perfect-level, production-ready drawings. Demonstrable experience in reading, interpreting, and generating engineering drawings directly from a

Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

. In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment, fluid dynamics, and process flow diagrams. Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. A strong portfolio of previous work, showcasing the ability to handle complex projects from conception to completion, is highly valued.
