Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems and equipment within the facility. The role involves preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery. Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical faults in production and utility equipment. Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors. Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, reports, and documentation. Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines or mechanical systems. Coordinate with production team to ensure minimal downtime. Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of critical components. Follow safety standards, maintenance SOPs, and quality procedures. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and suggest improvements for equipment reliability. Ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals. Familiar with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and 5S principles. Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Working knowledge of MS Office.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
