Job Description

Maintenance & Operations

Perform

preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance

of mechanical equipment such as reactors, dryers, centrifuges, pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, scrubbers, boilers, and utility systems.

Monitor mechanical systems to ensure

efficient and uninterrupted plant operations

.

Carry out

root cause analysis (RCA)

for recurring equipment failures.

2. Equipment Handling

Assist in installation, commissioning, and validation of new mechanical equipment in the plant.

Inspect and maintain utilities such as

chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and water systems

.

3. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, calibration records, and spare parts inventory.

Ensure compliance with

GMP, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines

.

Prepare and update

SOPs

related to mechanical operations.

4. Safety & Quality

Ensure safe working practices during all maintenance activities.

Support plant safety audits, equipment inspections, and risk assessments.

Coordinate with production and quality teams for mechanical-related issues impacting product quality.

5. Troubleshooting

Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions promptly.

Reduce downtime by effective troubleshooting of pumps, gearboxes, agitators, and rotating equipment.

6. Continuous Improvement

Recommend improvements for enhancing machine efficiency, reliability, and energy optimization.

Support plant expansion, modification, and revamping projects.
