We are seeking a self-driven engineer to lead Condition-Based Lifing (CBL) initiatives for gas turbine systems. The primary responsibility is to handle operational field data and determine the service life of turbine components, while evaluating and agreeing on special engineering requests to ensure component durability and lifecycle optimization.
Responsibilities
Analyze large volumes of operational field data from gas turbine engines and relate findings to physical principles.
Assess feasibility and provide recommendations for special requests related to gas turbine performance.
Perform lifing analysis (LCF, HCF, creep, thermal fatigue) for critical components under varying operating conditions.
Develop and implement Condition-Based Lifing strategies for predictive maintenance and lifecycle management.
Support simulation-driven design improvements and digital twin development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Work Experience
Degree Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution with strong academic performance.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in simulation, lifing analysis, or design engineering.
Technical Excellence
Strong understanding of gas turbine systems, thermodynamics, and lifing principles.
Basic understanding of:
+ Structural durability of turbomachinery systems
+ Principles of LCF, thermal fatigue, and creep
Problem Solving
Ability to independently solve complex engineering problems and make sound decisions.
Excellent analytical skills and judgment.
Computer-Aided Design & Engineering
Expertise in simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Classic and Workbench) for non-linear FEA and multiphysics simulations related to lifing.
Effective Communication
Ability to communicate technical information effectively with customers and team members.
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
