The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for design support, execution, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality completion of projects in compliance with safety and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, review, and execution of mechanical systems including pumps, pipelines, valves, blowers, compressors, tanks, and structural fabrication.
Prepare and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, BOQs, specifications, and as-built documentation.
Supervise site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and safety norms.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and process teams for integrated project execution.
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, and performance evaluation of mechanical equipment.
Identify technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and inspection of equipment.
Maintain proper documentation including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and progress reports.
Optimize use of manpower, materials, and resources to meet project timelines and cost targets.
Provide technical guidance and supervision to technicians, fitters, and operators.
Support internal and external audits, inspections, and client coordination.
Perform any other duties assigned by management related to the role.
Qualification & Experience
Education:
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
1-6 years (project/plant/site experience preferred)
Experience in industrial projects, STP/ETP, utilities, or infrastructure will be an advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Familiarity with safety standards and statutory compliance
Good coordination and communication skills
Problem-solving and analytical abilities
Willingness to work at project sites and relocate Pan-India
