Job Responsibilities
This role is requested from a gas delivery/Chemical delivery system design team. The subsystem involved here will deliver process gases/Chemicals (hazardous and pyrophoric), purge/inert gases to rest of the system to perform necessary physical and chemical reaction on semiconductor wafers needed to delivery high quality chips.

• Requirements gathering and drive complete ownership of gas delivery Non-standard request from customers and engineering projects (conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation) including technical decision making.
• Collaborates with other departments (electrical/Chemical/safety/Product manager to understand the requirements, communicate the design intent.
• Ensures documentation is consistent with SEMI, Lam Standards, and other standards as applicable (ANSI, DIN etc.), as well as best known methods for GD&T; accordingly, demonstrates knowledge and ability to properly utilize them.
• Develop FMEA report for risk mitigation.
• Conduct Design reviews to get buy-in from all cross functional teams.
• Develop and execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficient to understand and validate the performance of the design (remotely or onsite)
• Develops and present reports/presentations of excellent quality that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation at design reviews.
• Collaborate with procurement team/supplier/manufacturing in procurement and assembly of gas delivery system.
• Collaborate with supplier/system safety/chemical safety to develop test plan on the gas delivery system testing.
• Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design related production/supplier issues encountered during the build process and customer escalations during installation, operation, and service.

Other Job Responsibilities
Leadership

• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
• Provide innovative solution to current issues and future developments on Gas Box
• Improvise existing and develop new engineering calculators to simplify the engineering hand calculations

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or
• Mechanical Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication

Mandatory Skills required to perform the job

• Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills in design of parts and assemblies involving flow through pipe/tubes and components, and pressure behaviors in pipe/tube (piping design process engineers for marine/petrol chemicals, bulk gas delivery system for equipment’s, industry gas delivery system).
• Experience in design for testing and handling test setups.
• Proficiency in mechanical design from first principles. Expertise in flow, Thermal and structural hand calculations, and simulations (Conduction, Convection, Heat dissipation etc.).
• System or sub-system knowledge comprising sensors, controls, electrical components etc.
• Interpretation of Test result and modelling result in relation to hardware design.
• Well knowledgeable using 3D CAD tools; knowledge of ProE and NX.
• Good presentation skills for DR presentations and other presentations to management and CFT.
