Job Description

1. ROLE PURPOSE

To prepare accurate mechanical drawings, fabrication details, GA drawings, assembly drawings, BOQs, and documentation required for manufacturing industrial dryers and related equipment. The Draughtsman ensures precision, clarity, and timely delivery of drawings to support production, procurement, and installation.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KRAs)A. Mechanical Drawings & Drafting

. Ensure all drawings meet industry standards (ISO/ASME). Create and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings for sheet metal parts, frames, conveyors, ducts, chambers, etc. Update revisions and maintain record history.

B. Accuracy & Standardisation

Ensure dimensional accuracy, correct tolerances, welding symbols, machining details, and material specifications. Follow standard templates, title blocks, view conventions, and layering systems.

C. BOM & Documentation

Prepare

Bill of Materials (BOM)

for every drawing and project. Cross-verify item codes, quantities, and material grades. Maintain drawing indexes, revision logs, and version control.

D. Coordination with Factory & Engineering Team

Coordinate with production supervisors, fabricators, and QC to clarify drawing details. Make corrections based on factory feedback. Attend design meetings and assist engineers with modelling or concept sketches.

E. Project Support

Assist in designing dryer layouts, air flow paths, ducting, heat exchangers, and structural frameworks. Provide drawings for customer approval (GA) and site installation drawings. Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.

4. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIREDTechnical Skills

Proficiency in:

AutoCAD (2D)

- Mandatory

SolidWorks / Inventor / Fusion 360

(preferred for 3D modelling) Strong mechanical understanding of: Sheet metal fabrication Welding symbols Tolerance stack-up Machining requirements Industrial equipment layout Ability to interpret engineering drawings and client specifications. Knowledge of standards: ISO 2768, ASME Y14, GD&T basics. Understanding of dryer systems and mechanical assemblies (preferred).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
