Prepare detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD/other relevant drafting software.
Assist in the preparation of BOQ and BOM for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Coordinate with the Production Manager to convert design concepts into production-ready drawings.
Provide technical drafting support for new product development and prototyping.
Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project requirements.
Revise and update existing drawings as per modifications or feedback.
Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and supporting documentation.
Liaise with procurement, production, and design teams to resolve technical queries.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production and design functions.
Requirements
Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
2-4 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in manufacturing, fabrication, or product development industries.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
Strong knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes, materials, and manufacturing standards.
Ability to prepare accurate BOQ and BOM.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, or retail fixture manufacturing (advantageous).
Exposure to new product development processes.
Knowledge of MS Excel for BOM/BOQ integration.
