Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical components, assemblies, and fabrication parts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce detailed drawings.

Ensure all designs comply with technical standards, tolerances, and safety requirements.

Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or clients.

Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and design data.

Assist in bill of materials (BOM) preparation and documentation.

Collaborate with design engineers, production teams, and quality control to resolve drawing-related issues.

Keep up to date with CAD software updates and drafting best practices.

Requirements for a successful candidate

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2-3 years' experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in a manufacturing or engineering environment (freshers can be considered for junior roles).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks tools.

Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
