Create and prepare

2D mechanical drawings

: general arrangement (GA) layouts, part/fabrication drawings, assembly/sub-assembly views, sections, and detail drawings. Develop and maintain engineering documentation: Draft, update, and revise drawings based on design changes, site feedback, and as-built conditions. Work from sketches, markups, vendor / supplier data, hand-drawn or digital inputs, and convert those into CAD drawings. Liaise with engineers and other design disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, HVAC etc.) to coordinate interfaces and ensure that designs are integrated and constructible. Ensure that all drawings meet required standards, tolerances, material specifications, and follow established drafting conventions / best practices. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs), material take-offs, fabrication / installation details, and engineering schedules as required. Conduct site visits, when necessary, to gather measurements, verify site conditions, ensure the drawing reflects reality ("as-built"), and resolve interface issues. Maintain version control of drawings and organized documentation of revisions, approvals, and records. Perform checks for completeness, correctness, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. Support the design team in estimating time/cost for drawing work, possibly assisting in tender / proposal deliverables.
