Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman with expertise in drafting complex mechanical systems, particularly pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and industrial boilers. The ideal candidate will transform engineering concepts into precise technical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and facilitating seamless fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related components, adhering to ASME Section VIII and TEMA standards. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate fabrication drawings. Prepare comprehensive assembly and sub-assembly drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, welding symbols, and material specifications. Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineering and fabrication teams. Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and associated documentation. Assist in creating bills of materials (BOMs) and other technical documents required for manufacturing. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and company procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 3-7 years of experience in metal fabrication or pressure equipment design Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the fabrication of high-pressure/high-temperature equipment. Familiarity with document management systems and version control. Ability to perform basic stress and thermal calculations to support design decisions. Knowledge of welding processes, NDT methods, and material selection for high-pressure/high-temperature applications
