Job Description

We are looking for a skilled

Mechanical Drafter (Fire Protection)

to prepare accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings for fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, and piping layouts. The role involves close coordination with MEP engineers and architects to ensure designs comply with IS codes, NFPA standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed drawings for fire suppression systems such as sprinkler layouts, piping layouts, P&IDs, schematics, and equipment details using AutoCAD/Revit. Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and other disciplines to integrate fire protection designs into overall project drawings. Ensure all drawings comply with applicable fire safety codes, standards (IS, NFPA), and client requirements. Update and revise drawings as per design changes and site requirements. Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, material specifications, and version control. Perform self-checks and assist in resolving drawing-related and coordination issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM knowledge preferred). Good understanding of fire protection systems and mechanical services. Knowledge of IS codes and NFPA standards is mandatory. Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Tools & Software:

AutoCAD Revit Navisworks (coordination) STAAD Pro (basic knowledge preferred)
