As a Mechanical Hardware Designer at Lam, you will be supporting design of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems of Lam's equipments. Your role involves CAD model creation, drafting, and design support. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.


In this role, you will directly contribute to the success of Deposition Product Group.

BE in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Industrial engineering with 5 to 7 Yrs of relevant Exp in Design & Drafting

What You'll Do

------------------


Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium complex "Problem reports" Create CAD assemblies & BOM for design changes / modifications Collaborate with product development engineers in implementing concept design and design changes Propose OEM parts to aid design and assist the product development engineers in performing functional tests Work on implementing multiple engineering changes through Change orders Identify the interferences in CAD design and provide alternative solutions Create/review drawings for complex sheetmetal & machined parts, welded structures & complex assemblies. Create assembly/test procedures, rework instructions etc.. Work collaboratively with Product Group counterparts in India & U.S Accountable for delivering on time with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as consistent improvement in efficiency.

Mandatory skills and experience required to perform the job:

Proficient in 3D CAD modelling & assembly management using Creo or any 3D modelling software Proficient in BoM management using PLM softwares Basic knowledge in making simple design concepts and validating them thru hand calculations and testing Experience in selection of mechanical hardwares and OEM components based on design requirement Knowledge on different type of welding, part cleaning, surface finish, etc.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in various fabrication methods (Sheetmetal & Machining) Able to present simple design concepts to peers and management in a professional and effective way Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process, SAP, PLM etc.. Good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge on MS office softwares like MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
