Job Description

Creating Detailed Designs:

Developing 2D models and drawings of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using AutoCAD.

Collaboration:

Working closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand design requirements and specifications.

Documenting Designs:

Creating and maintaining comprehensive design documentation, including technical drawings, parts lists, and assembly instructions.

Ensuring Quality:

Conducting design reviews and incorporating feedback to ensure designs are accurate, functional, and meet quality standards.

Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving design-related issues and challenges.

Staying Updated:

Keeping current with the latest versions of AutoCAD and mechanical design principles.

Project Coordination:

Coordinating mechanical designs with other disciplines (e.g., electrical, structural) and ensuring smooth integration of systems.
Essential Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD:

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software, including 2D modeling, parametric design, and other relevant features.

Mechanical Design Principles:

Solid understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, such as materials science, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.

Technical Drawing:

Ability to create clear, accurate, and detailed technical drawings that adhere to industry standards.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Teamwork:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
