Founded in 2019, we are backed by marquee investors and angels. We are looking to add to our team of thinkers, innovators and doers and would love to have you join us at the Pune, India office and build the future of on-demand robotics logistics solutions
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design of robots and peripheral structures from POC to production and sustaining phases, ensuring alignment with cross-functional engineering groups.
  • Exercise strong engineering judgment in selecting design methods, materials, and validation techniques to achieve reliable and manufacturable solutions.
  • Plan and conduct internal design reviews, driving clear documentation, risk identification, and closure of actions.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve design improvements supported by analysis, test data, and engineering documentation.
  • Communicate design requirements to vendors using 3D CAD, 2D drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications, applying DRM, DFM, DFX, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Support development of manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test processes, and troubleshoot issues during prototype and production builds.
  • Review and approve detailed technical drawings and manufacturing release packages.
  • Own the engineering specification, design, development timeline, validation, and release of components, modules, and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to develop and scale electro-mechanical components, thermal systems, and prototype builds into production-ready solutions.
  • Drive improvements in part quality, cost, manufacturability, and operational efficiency across the product lifecycle.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical issues in prototypes, production, and field returns.
  • Manage and communicate technical decisions, risks, trade-offs, development plans, and ongoing issues to management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to independently execute and lead technical responsibilities on large-scale engineering projects, interact with customers, mentor junior engineers, and develop standard work practices.
  • Strong experience with manufacturing processes such as stamping, casting, machining, and welding across multiple materials; experience with composites is a plus.
  • Proven capability in designing with a wide range of materials while optimizing for cost, weight, durability, strength, and thermal performance.
  • Hands-on experience in designing primary structures, mechanisms, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Strong working knowledge of solid mechanics, load cases, and failure mechanisms.
  • Experience in mass-production component development along with creating engineering documentation such as BOMs, SOPs, release notes, and change records.
  • High attention to detail in design development with a practical, hands-on approach to prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to perform and understand tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking principles and their application for innovation, ideation, and concept generation.
  • Experience working with reliability teams to conduct FMEAs and to create and execute test plans for design validation.
  • Experience collaborating with testing, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to successfully bring subsystems and components into production.
  • Ability to define correct inputs for FEA simulations and interpret FEA results to guide design decisions.
Good to Have:
  • Experience working on automotive systems such as interiors, seating, chassis, suspension, steering, and powertrain.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards applicable to industrial machinery and automated systems.
  • Certifications or formal training in Design Thinking.
  • Demonstrated habit of staying connected with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design.
  • Patents, publications, or demonstrated contributions to innovation.
Eligible candidates:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 institution.
  • 5-8 years of relevant industry experience covering the full product development cycle.
