Qualification : M.Tech (Mech Only)

Experience : Min 5-8 years

Location : Taramani, Chennai,

Salary : upto 10 LPA

Industry : Research & Development (Glass)

Desired Skills and Experience:

M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with (5 - 8 ) years of hands-on experience in design. Proficiency in SolidWorks and expertise in utilizing tools such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) are essential for this role. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality designs. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials. Ability to travel as necessary, up to 20-30%, to customers, production sites, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in the design and development of glass hardware products using CAD tools, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for product components, assemblies, and installation layouts, supporting prototyping and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality to translate design concepts into manufacturable solutions. Conduct basic research and benchmarking on materials, mechanisms, and design trends relevant to architectural glass hardware Maintain documentation and design records, ensuring version control and compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements Passion for innovation and research Good understanding of glass hardware (mechanics and endurance) like door hinges, handle, and patch fittings etc would be a plus. Product reliability assessment and failure mode analysis methodology and tools Knowledge of CAD modeling, drawings and machine design Experience with SolidWorks Ability to travel, as necessary up to 20 to 30%, to productions and suppliers
