Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Create and manage precise

2D drawings and 3D models

using

AutoCAD

and

Fusion 360

. Develop

technical drawings, assemblies, exploded views

, and detailed component schematics. Collaborate with engineers and product developers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs. Ensure all designs meet

functional, structural, and aesthetic requirements

, as well as industry and company standards. Revise existing designs based on feedback, testing, and changes in project scope. Support prototyping and production by preparing accurate

BOMs (Bill of Materials)

and fabrication-ready documentation. Assist in

DFM (Design for Manufacturing)

processes and work closely with manufacturing teams or vendors to ensure feasibility. Maintain organized design documentation and version control using CAD and PLM systems. Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement of CAD standards and workflows.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field

. 5+ years of professional experience in CAD design, with demonstrated expertise in:

AutoCAD

(2D drafting and detailing)

Fusion 360

(3D modeling, simulation, and rendering) Strong understanding of mechanical components, tolerances, and material properties. Experience in creating

fabrication-ready files

for CNC, 3D printing, or injection molding. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with

sheet metal design

,

plastic part design

, or

assemblies

. Knowledge of simulation tools within Fusion 360 (e.g., stress, thermal analysis). Familiarity with other CAD tools like SolidWorks, Inventor, or Rhino is a plus. Experience working with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality control.
