Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative

Mechanical Design Engineer

with

4+ years of experience

in product design and development. The candidate will be responsible for creating, validating, and improving mechanical designs for new and existing products, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools (e.g.,

SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or AutoCAD

). Prepare detailed

2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and GD&T documentation

. Conduct

tolerance analysis

,

material selection

, and

design for manufacturability (DFM)

and

design for assembly (DFA)

studies. Collaborate with

R&D, production, and quality teams

to implement design improvements. Perform

FEA simulations

and support

prototype testing

and validation. Provide

engineering support

for manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities. Work with vendors and suppliers for component feasibility and cost optimization. Participate in

design reviews

and ensure compliance with industry standards. Maintain engineering records and ensure documentation control through PLM systems.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Strong proficiency in

3D CAD software

(SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA preferred). Sound knowledge of

mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes

(sheet metal, machining, casting, plastics, etc.). Familiarity with

GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and mechanical drawings

. Understanding of

FEA / CFD

basics and hands-on experience with analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) is an advantage. Experience in

product life cycle management (PLM)

systems. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Educational Qualification:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

or equivalent discipline.

M.E. / M.Tech

in Design or related field (preferred).

Preferred Domain Experience (any one or more):

Industrial equipment / Machinery design Automotive components Consumer products / Appliances Sheet metal and fabrication design Composites or enclosure design

Compensation:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
