Job Summary:

AKAS Medical Equipment

, a pioneer in medical device manufacturing, is looking for a

Mechanical Design Engineer

with strong proficiency in

Creo design software

and hands-on experience in

plastic and product component design

. This role focuses on the design of medical equipment such as

syringe pumps

and

infusion pumps

, involving precision plastic parts and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop

plastic parts and mechanical enclosures

using

Creo Parametric

. Create accurate

3D models

and

detailed 2D drawings

ready for manufacturing. Apply injection molding design principles (drafts, wall thickness, ribs, snap fits, etc.). Work with cross-functional teams to ensure part functionality, manufacturability, and compliance. Perform

tolerance analysis

and ensure correct fit and finish in assemblies. Coordinate with toolmakers and vendors for mold design and production readiness. Assist in prototype building and initial testing. Maintain

engineering documentation

, including BOMs and drawing revisions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Proficient in

Creo (PTC Creo Parametric)

software. Strong knowledge of

plastic product design

and

injection molding

. Understanding of

engineering plastics

and mechanical detailing. Familiarity with

GD&T

and part tolerance practices. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Immediate joiners

are highly preferred.

Nice to Have:

Experience in medical equipment design or high-precision plastic components. Exposure to

FDA design controls

, or medical industry standards. Experience with

3D printing

or

rapid prototyping

.
