Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to support various projects from conception through to production.

Duties

Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software and drafting techniques. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate logic controllers and other electronic components into mechanical systems. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity and performance under various conditions. Utilize LabVIEW and Arduino for system design and testing of prototypes. Create project schedules to ensure timely completion of design milestones. Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, specifications, and revisions. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of engineering principles. Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for creating detailed designs. Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and modeling purposes. Familiarity with project scheduling tools to manage timelines effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis scenarios. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
