Job Description

We are looking for a

Mechanical Design Engineer

with experience in

sheet metal design and machine enclosure fabrication

, preferably for industrial machinery like wet blasting systems, SPMs, or control cabinets.

Responsibilities:

Design

sheet metal components, blast cabinets, machine frames, enclosures

, and related mechanical parts using

SolidWorks / Inventor / AutoCAD

. Prepare complete 2D fabrication drawings, exploded views, and BOM. Coordinate with the automation team to ensure

integration of sensors, nozzles, hatches, safety doors, and wiring paths

inside enclosures. Modify and update designs for

ergonomics, safety, and space utilization

. Work with vendors for

fabrication feasibility

and

material selection

. Support testing and fitting of enclosures during machine assembly.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge in

sheet metal design principles

(bend allowance, weld joints, laser cut rules, K-factor). Skilled in

mechanical design software

: SolidWorks or CATIA (must), AutoCAD (optional). Experience in

machine cabinet/enclosure design

, especially for

dust-proof or wet-process machines

. Understanding of

material properties

(SS, MS, powder coating, plexiglass windows, etc.). Good in

2D drafting

,

dimensional tolerance

, and

DFM principles

.

Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Tool Engineering. 1-2 years of experience in

industrial machine design

, preferably

SPMs or enclosure design

. Freshers with good academic design projects or internships may apply.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

Design experience in

blasting machines, powder coating booths, automation cabinets

. Familiarity with

ergonomic design

,

safety compliance

, and

operator usability

. Understanding of

IP-rated enclosures

or water sealing techniques.
