Position : Mechanical Design Engineer Material Handling Systems
Location : Bangalore, Whitefield
Experience : 4 + Years
Notice Period : 15 Days To 1 Month

Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom material handling systems, fixturing, and associated processes to support handling, assembly/disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product lifecycle.

• Establish standards across all operational processes and act as a technical expert for specialized projects or programs.
• Lead and technically execute engineering projects in collaboration with AMAT s approved suppliers.
• Interface with internal and external customers to address mechanical engineering issues related to specific projects.
• Develop and implement concepts for resolving complex product challenges and improvements.
• Specify, supervise, and review the development, design, or modification of engineering layouts, schematics, detailed drawings, and specifications of complex scope.
• Prepare product and test specifications.
• Define and create requirements for material handling units, including architecture, concepts, and validation plans.
• Perform and specify engineering calculations and analyses of complex scope, including custom part design and OEM component selection.
• Review and maintain engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of material selection for metals and non-metals, machining, fabrication, sheet metal, and post-processing operations.
• Proficiency in various manufacturing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in assembly building and troubleshooting form, fit, and function issues.
• In-depth understanding of GD&T knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis is an added advantage.
• Proficient with ISO & ASME standards; understanding of DIN standards is a plus.
• Expertise in UG NX or Pro-E/Creo is mandatory.
• Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
