Job Title: Mechanical Designer - Rotating & Moving Machine ComponentsJob Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled

Mechanical Designer

with strong expertise in designing moving and rotating machine components. The candidate must have hands-on experience in designing

couplings, mechanical seals, shafts, bearings, and other dynamic components

, along with strong proficiency in

SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other mechanical design software

.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop rotating/moving machine components such as shafts, couplings, mechanical seals, bearing housings, etc. Create detailed

3D CAD models

and

2D manufacturing drawings

using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Perform calculations for torque transmission, shaft sizing, fits & tolerances, bearing life, and mechanical strength. Prepare assembly models, exploded views, BOMs, and technical documentation. Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and performance. Conduct design reviews and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Select appropriate materials, surface finishes, and sealing methods for dynamic components. Ensure compliance with engineering standards (ASME, ISO) and internal quality requirements. Coordinate with suppliers/fabricators for part development and verification.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong experience (2-5+ years preferred) in designing rotating/moving mechanical components.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other mechanical design tools

(Inventor/Creo/Fusion 360 preferred). Excellent understanding of machine dynamics, kinematics, and mechanical system behavior. Knowledge of GD&T, machining processes, tolerancing, and fabrication methods. Ability to perform engineering calculations for rotating machinery components. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in pump components, gearbox elements, compressors, or industrial machinery. Knowledge of FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation/ANSYS). Experience in prototype development and testing.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to handle multiple design projects simultaneously. Analytical mindset with strong technical judgment.

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
