Your Role
As a
Lead Engineer
, you will play a pivotal role in translating architectural concepts into detailed designs and guiding design engineers throughout the development lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality technical outputs, leading technical discussions, and collaborating across teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.
In this role, you will:
Independently carry out all responsibilities of a Design Engineer with high quality and minimal guidance.
Coach and mentor Design Engineers, providing feedback to support their technical growth.
Review and finalize deliverables such as Technical Product Documentation, Bill of Materials (BoM), and 3D Models.
Collaborate with suppliers, factory teams, and field engineers to implement solutions.
Work closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to define scope and ensure timely delivery with required quality.
Identify dependencies in assigned features or work packages and communicate them effectively.
Lead technical meetings and engage with stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges.
Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Participate in Change Control Board discussions and provide input on assigned work.
Collaborate with other Lead Engineers to promote best practices and drive knowledge sharing through Communities of Practice (CoP) and other forums.
Your Profile
8-14 years of experience in mechanical or design engineering roles.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.
Strong understanding of Client's Ways of Working (WoW) and proficiency in both Capgemini and Client's engineering/project tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in leading design reviews and technical meetings independently.
