Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced

Mechanical Design Engineer

with a strong background in

Plumbing and Fire Fighting system design and drafting

for commercial buildings such as offices, hospitals, and hotels. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in

Revit MEP

,

AutoCAD

, and various design tools, with the ability to independently handle design, drafting, and coordination tasks in compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or 3-Year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of

3 years

of relevant working experience in plumbing & fire fighting system design and drafting. Minimum of

2 years

of hands-on experience with

Revit MEP

for modeling MEP systems. Age must not exceed

36 years

Software Proficiency:

Revit MEP

(version 2018 and above)

AutoCAD

(version 2018 and above)

MS Office Suite

Pipe Sizer

or equivalent hydraulic calculation tools

Key Responsibilities:

Design and drafting of

plumbing and fire fighting systems

for commercial and institutional buildings. Development of

schematic drawings

for water supply, drainage, and fire fighting systems. Preparation of

detailed MEP coordination layouts

using Revit MEP. Design and drafting of

sprinkler systems

and other fire protection components. Perform

pipe sizing

calculations and layouts for water supply, drainage, and fire fighting systems. Conduct

site surveys

to verify conditions before preparing shop drawings. Review

BOQs

and

Tender specifications

to ensure compliance before drafting. Apply standards such as

NFPA

,

NBC

, and other relevant codes in design and documentation. Collaborate with project teams for

coordination

with other MEP disciplines.

Pump head calculations

and hydraulic study experience will be considered an

advantage

.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of MEP systems in buildings. Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with international and local standards (NFPA, NBC, etc.). Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
