Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor. The role involves converting concepts into manufacturable mechanical designs while working closely with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings including:
- Tolerances
- GD&T
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and implement revisions based on feedback.
- Perform design validation checks for:
Fit
Form
Function
- Maintain and manage CAD files and design documentation using PLM/PDM systems.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2- 4 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor.
- Good knowledge of 2D drawings, 3D modeling, and assemblies.
- Experience in manufacturing drawings, GD&T, and BOM creation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Experience working with PLM/PDM tools for design data management.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Exposure to design validation and review processes.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and documentation practices.
