Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Team Lead - Mechanical Design. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical design engineers in the development and execution of various Jig, Fixture & SPM design projects, primarily for various automobile application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:



Team Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of mechanical design engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and professional growth. Delegate tasks effectively, set clear objectives, and monitor team performance to ensure project deadlines are met.

Mechanical Design:

Drive the design and development of mechanical components and systems from concept to production. Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, and cost analysis to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed designs. Utilize CAD software (Solid-Works) create detailed drawings, models, and simulations.

Project Management:

Plan and prioritize project deliverables, resources, and timelines in coordination with cross-functional teams. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the design process.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate closely with other departments such as manufacturing, Marketing, Trial-commissioning and Electricals to ensure seamless integration of designs. Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions effectively to stakeholders and senior management. Foster strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers and Customers.

Role will report into Manager

Interactions:



1) Internal Stakeholders:

i) Team lead, Manager and Mechanical Engineers within department

ii) Coordinator, Engineers & Mangers of other departments (electrical, manufacturing, controls, trials, project management, marketing etc)

2) External Stakeholders: Customers/Clients as when required

Required Skills and Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; master's degree preferred. Proven experience 6-8 years in mechanical design, with a solid understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Prior experience 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating strong managerial and interpersonal skills. Experience in the design of Jig, Fixture & SPM line Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant tools for mechanical design and analysis. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to mechanical design and product development. Sound knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic circuit and machine. Sound knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack up. Candidate should have sound knowledge of Welding, Sheet metal and Machining manufacturing processes.

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
