We are looking for a skilled

Mechanical Design Engineer

with strong hands-on experience in

AutoCAD, SolidWorks, BOM preparation, and sheet-metal nesting

. The candidate will be responsible for creating accurate manufacturing drawings, optimizing material usage, and coordinating with production teams to ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities

Create 2D & 3D mechanical designs using AutoCAD & SolidWorks Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) Perform sheet-metal nesting to optimize material utilization Modify designs as per production and client feedback Coordinate with fabrication, production, and procurement teams Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and industry standards Support cost estimation and material planning Maintain proper documentation and revision control

Required Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD & SolidWorks Strong knowledge of BOM creation and management Experience in nesting (sheet metal / plate cutting) Understanding of fabrication & manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Good coordination and communication skills

Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Relevant industry experience preferred
Preferred (Added Advantage)

Experience with laser / plasma / CNC cutting Knowledge of GD&T Exposure to ERP or production planning systems
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?240,000.00 per year
