Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products using CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo).
Translate customer requirements and functional specifications into engineering designs.
Perform calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
Develop 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, and design improvements.
Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Production & Manufacturing Support
Work closely with production teams to resolve design and process issues.
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, cost, and quality.
Develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling concepts to improve assembly efficiency.
Support standardization and modular design practices.
Assist in process layout planning and line improvement activities.
Continuous Improvement & Quality
Support value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action for product failures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers for component development and quality improvement.
Project & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with procurement, vendors, service, and quality teams.
Support project planning, timelines, and execution tracking.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
BE/BTech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
2-7 years of experience
in product design, development, or manufacturing engineering (freshers can be considered for junior roles).
Hands-on expertise in
CAD software
(SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo / Inventor).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, sheet-metal, welding, or assembly.
Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and material properties.
