Key Responsibilities
Primary Assembly Operations
Bearing Assembly:
Assemble, fit, and inspect bearing units, ensuring proper lubrication, clearance, and alignment as per technical specifications
Pulley Assembly and Alignment:
Assemble pulleys, mechanical components; perform alignment checks using mechanical instruments to ensure concentricity and proper rotational axial
Motor Assembly and Alignment:
Assemble motor units, including frame, stator, rotor, and shaft assemblies; perform motor-to-machine alignment, ensuring proper coupling and rotational balance
Traversing Assembly:
Assemble traversing mechanisms, including guides, drive components, and control linkages; verify smooth operation and proper adjustment
Technical Competencies
Read, interpret, and apply mechanical part drawings and technical specifications accurately
Use mechanical measuring instruments including Vernier callipers, dial gauges, and micrometers for precision measurements and verification
Document assembly processes and inspection results in standardized formats
Perform in-process quality inspections at critical assembly stages to verify conformance to specifications
Identify and report deviations or defects to the Production Supervisor
Measuring Instruments:
Practical knowledge and ability to use: Vernier callipers, Dial gauges, Micrometers, Basic hand and power tools used in mechanical assembly
Quality Standards:
Understanding of in-process inspection procedures, quality control checkpoints, and acceptance criteria
Report Making:
Ability to prepare and maintain assembly documentation, inspection reports, and defect records using standard formats
Basic Mechanical Knowledge:
Understanding of mechanical principles including tolerance, alignment, and material properties
