Job Summary

The Mechanic will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of special purpose machines and associated mechanical systems. The role involves supporting the production and maintenance teams in ensuring smooth mechanical operations, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of machine builds and servicing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble and fit mechanical components as per engineering drawings and assembly instructions. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults in machines and sub-assemblies. Work closely with the design and electrical teams during the machine building process. Use appropriate hand tools, measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment safely and effectively. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area. Assist in testing machines for mechanical accuracy and performance before dispatch. Maintain records of assembly, maintenance activities, and test results.

Required Skills & Competencies

Good knowledge of mechanical assembly, fitting, and alignment practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical layouts. Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems (preferred). Hands-on experience using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, etc. Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Team player with good communication and learning attitude.

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Fitter Trade. 1-2 years of experience in machine assembly, maintenance, or related mechanical workshop operations.
Experience in the manufacturing of special purpose machines or automation systems will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
