Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Repair:

Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and components according to manufacturer specifications. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle longevity and reliability.

Customer Communication:

Explain vehicle issues and repair procedures to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Answer customer questions and address concerns related to vehicle maintenance and repair.

Shop Operations:

Operate and maintain workshop tools and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working on vehicles.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of service and repair work performed on each vehicle. Update vehicle records with relevant information.
Essential Skills:

Mechanical Aptitude:

Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication Skills:

Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and collaborate with other mechanics.

Customer Service Skills:

Ability to interact with customers professionally and address their needs.

Physical Dexterity:

Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
