Job Description

Mechanic in the steel industry is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhauling of heavy-duty machinery(JCB, Forklift, Excavator, Pay Loader) used in operations within steel plants, ensuring their optimal performance and operational efficiency. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing various repairs on engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems, and conducting routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities of a Mechanic:

End-to-End Servicing:

Ensuring the complete servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM).

Maintenance and Repair:

Performing scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on a wide range of HEMM, including trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, JCB, Forklift, cranes, Pay loader and other heavy equipment.

Component Overhauling:

Diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling complex components such as internal combustion engines, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

Identifying and addressing mechanical issues through diagnostic testing and analysis.

System Maintenance:

Maintaining various systems within the machinery, including cooling systems, drive shafts, and power take-off systems.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in the industrial environment.
