Role Description

Software Engineer

• Looking for an experienced application developers to work within a newly forming agile software development team as a Software Engineer, developing new and maintaining existing No-Code/Low-Code cloud-based applications using Microsoft PowerApps, Google AppSheets and other GCP and Office 365 based tools.
• Working in the team setting up a Divisional Centre of Excellence for Low Code / No Code Application development using modern technologies will offer a wide range of technical and organizational challenges. The ideal candidate will be flexible, possess broad skills across application design, development and operations.
• Candidate should be a self-motivated team player, possess ingenuity to excel at this position and flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Internal Information:

• This is a new technology in the bank being set up with a centralized platform operations. This team being set up as a Dev-Ops (Centre of Excellence) team for private banking
• Core of the activities over the next few years will be in design and development of applications and set-up of standards and operating model.

Your key responsibilities

• Within a team design, develop and document software components in accordance with requirements specification, functional and technical design documents.
• Support the delivery of quality indicators, promote the integration of non-functional testing (security, performance) into continuous integration cycle.
• Agile working environment: Work as a member of a DevOps team delivering and supporting the full product life cycle. Together with the technical Product Owner and other members of the Dev Team, you will build the NC/LC Competence Centre for Private Banking, serving a development and support needs of a wide variety of business units.
• You will work together with the global platform owner, architecture, security and other central functions as well as with other agile IT teams.
• You will work in a global environment with diverse teams at different time zones.
• As a member of the Shared Applications team, you will work on applications serving a wide range of business units.

Your skills and experience

• 6 years overall experience with at least 3 years relevant experience in IT or Banking.
• At least 2 years of experience in software application design and development and completion of a relevant degree or training program.
• Experience or training delivering NC/LC based solutions preferably with MS PowerApps/Office 365 and MS Power Automate is highly desirable.
• Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Framework
• Experience or relevant training working in a cloud environment (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Knowledge working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Understanding of API design and familiar with API specifications (OpenAPI, Swagger, RAML).
• Experience or training with various design frameworks.
• Knowledge of decomposing problem statement into multiple methods/functions
• Ability to prioritize and manage time to deliver on commitments
• A passion for constantly learning and applying new technologies and applications in a constantly evolving environment
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Hands on experience in the Microsoft Power Platform MS PowerApps, Canvas & Model Driven Apps, MS Dataverse and DataFlows, Portals, MS Flow, SharePoint, Power BI and Power virtual agents
• Ability to create business processes and Custom connectors with Microsoft Flow/ Power Automate.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Office 365 platform and Power Platform ALM Practices and Power Platform admin center.
• Experience with Rest API or services integrations and a firm understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources
• Utilize problem-solving skills to understand process pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise
• Willing to learn leading edge Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies such as Dynamics 365 CRM, Office 365,Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrate an understanding of security concepts including access control and data security
• Good experience in developing Component Libraries.
• Knowledge in designing/coding using JavaScript and MS PowerFX functions.
• Basic knowledge of storage area networks and virtualization technologies
• Agile experience or related training
• Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues that may prevent communication between hosts
• Bank-related knowledge
• Retain banking domain knowledge
