Job Title: Consultant MDG Techno-Functional
Location: Bangalore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Noida , India Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and development of end-to-end SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions. This role combines strong technical capabilities with functional understanding to implement scalable and business-aligned MDG processes across multiple master data domains, including Material, Customer, Vendor, and Finance. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for MDG implementations.
Map SAP MDG functionalities to enterprise data strategies and business needs.
Configure MDG components: entity types, change request types, workflows, UI elements, and rule-based workflows.
Customize MDG data models, user interfaces, validations, and derivations.
Design and implement technical solutions including custom workflows, BRF+ rules, and integration interfaces.
Configure and enhance MDG for Material, Customer, Vendor, and Finance domains based on functional requirements.
Prepare functional specifications, test plans, and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve both functional and technical issues across the MDG landscape.
Deliver user training, documentation, and post-go-live support to ensure adoption and sustainability. Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG in both technical (ABAP, BRF+, workflows, UI enhancements) and functional areas.
In-depth knowledge of master data domains (Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance) and their business processes.
Expertise in MDG configuration, data modeling, and integration with external systems.
Experience designing and customizing SAP MDG data models and process templates.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP S/4HANA MDG is a plus.
SAP MDG certification is desirable.
Exposure to Fiori/UI5, ALE/IDOC, or Web Services for data integration.
