At Vestas Shared Service Center, we are constantly working to deliver on time to our support to Service business in terms of technical planning for scheduled and unscheduled maintenances, Contract management administration, transformation program, turbine performance reporting, Non-conformance management and Continuous improvements, etc, with an intent to optimize cost, LPF, commercial excellence. It is an ever-developing task in a progressive environment. This role will provide NC coordination support between suppliers, factories, service site, ensuring that products and processes comply with specifications, reporting to the Head of Shared Service in Chennai. As an Engineer - consultant you will act as NC case handler responsible for structured way of NC management and will work in a cross functional team environment.

Responsibilities

Continue to improve quality (Accountable for process quality indicators' performance and analysis) Product NC handling (Accountable for Q tools/ quality documents in process) Responsible for a systematic approach to problem solving by applying tools such as 8D, DMAIC/Six Sigma, 5xWhy, PFMEA, PDCA, etc., where reporting is a central part of the daily work Technical support for internal and external non-conformity quality handling Own and deliver on agreed service quality KPI's, including the contribution to the cost bridge expectations in the business (COPQ) Participate in special projects to contribute to organizational priorities

Qualifications

An Engineering degree or equivalent with 3-5 years' experience Experience in a customer-facing position Familiarity with Service operations/ processes/ systems would be an advantage. (Wind turbines knowledge not mandatory) Problem solving using quality tools/ closed loop quality methods Project handling/ management exposure

Competencies

Leading/ driving Quality Improvements Q-System & Awareness Risk reporting and containment COPQ concept Fluent communication in English (Verbal & Written) Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power point for reporting day to day developments Ability to be flexible, creative and adaptable to situations Ability to connect dots and develop a big picture thinking
