The Duty Doctor will provide round-the-clock medical care to patients, manage emergencies, and support ongoing clinical operations. They will work closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care during their duty hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide primary medical care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases.
Monitor and assess patients' condition regularly.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by specialists.
Handle medical emergencies and stabilize patients.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Communicate with consultants and follow their instructions for patient management.
Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for smooth operations.
Assist in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, ethics, and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
Valid medical license/registration.
1-3 years of clinical experience preferred (may vary depending on the employer).
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
