Maya Animator
to join us. You will collaborate closely with our creative team in Canada to bring characters and stories to life through expressive, high-quality animation for our exciting new projects.
Key Responsibilities
Animate characters, props, and creatures in
Autodesk Maya
, maintaining appealing performance and clear storytelling.
Work with directors and supervisors to interpret storyboards and deliver animation that matches the creative vision.
Ensure animations are technically sound, meeting rigging, camera, and lighting requirements.
Apply solid understanding of body mechanics, timing, weight, and acting to create believable performances.
Collaborate with the modeling, rigging, and layout teams to ensure efficient handoffs and smooth integration across the pipeline.
Participate in reviews and make revisions based on feedback while maintaining consistency and production quality.
Requirements
Strong portfolio/demo reel showcasing expressive character animation, body mechanics, and emotional acting.
Expert proficiency in Autodesk Maya
is essential.
Solid understanding of animation principles timing, spacing, anticipation, squash and stretch, and secondary motion.
2-5 years of professional experience in an animation production environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a structured pipeline.
Experience in children's entertainment or stylized animation is a plus.
