Qualification & Experience:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 10+ years of experience, including at least 4-5 years in a supervisory role.

Job Purpose



The Matron will oversee the nursing services across the hospital, ensuring high standards of patient care, adherence to clinical protocols, and effective staff management. The role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and a commitment to continuous improvement in nursing care delivery.

Key Responsibilities



1. Nursing Administration & Leadership



Supervise, manage, and guide nursing staff to deliver quality patient care. Plan and allocate duties, shifts, and leave schedules for nursing personnel. Ensure adequate staffing levels across all departments at all times. Monitor performance and provide regular feedback and counseling to staff.

2. Clinical Governance & Quality Care



Ensure compliance with NABH/JCI standards and hospital policies. Oversee infection control practices and patient safety protocols. Audit nursing documentation, medication administration, and patient care records. Conduct regular ward rounds to assess patient care quality.

3. Training & Development



Identify training needs for nursing staff and coordinate relevant programs. Mentor and develop nursing team leaders and supervisors. Ensure orientation and induction programs for new recruits are completed.

4. Coordination & Communication



Act as a bridge between nursing staff, hospital management, and medical teams. Attend management meetings and contribute to policy and procedural improvements. Handle patient/attendant complaints related to nursing services and resolve issues promptly.

5. Resource & Inventory Management



Monitor usage of medical supplies and ensure cost-effective utilization. Coordinate with the stores and purchase department for timely availability of consumables. Ensure equipment in nursing areas is functional and well-maintained.

Skills & Competencies



Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, hospital operations, and quality standards. Ability to manage teams under pressure and resolve conflicts. Proficiency in hospital management systems and MS Office.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
