The Matron will play a key role in supervising staff, supporting professional development, and ensuring patients receive safe, respectful, and quality care every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day
nursing operations
and ensure smooth coordination across departments.
Monitor
patient care quality
through regular assessments and observations.
Guide staff in
medication management
and ensure adherence to
infection prevention protocols.
Identify and respond to subtle changes in patients' conditions promptly and effectively.
Evaluate
nursing staff performance, provide feedback,
and support t
raining and growth.
Resolve conflicts with
empathy and fairness
--whether among staff or with patients and families.
Promote a culture of compassion, discipline, and professionalism within the team.
Ensure compliance with
clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
(INC, NABH, etc.).
Strong
clinical judgment, people management, conflict resolution
, and excellent communication.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
B.Sc. Nursing (mandatory); M.Sc. Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Administration (preferred).
Experience:
At least
3-5 years
in nursing, with a
supervisory/leadership
role.
Working Conditions:
Clinical
and
administrative work in wards, ICUs,
and other units
May include shifts, weekends, or emergency on-call duties
