Job Description

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students. The teacher will help students develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in mathematical concepts in alignment with the ICSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in line with the ICSE syllabus. Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to evaluate student understanding. Use creative and interactive teaching methods to make mathematics engaging. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation. Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback and support. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Organize and assist with math-related activities, competitions, and exhibitions. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school meetings and training programs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns. Ensure classroom discipline and maintain a safe, respectful environment for learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics or related field.

Training:

B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a reputed school (ICSE/CBSE preferred).

Skills:

Strong subject knowledge and communication skills. Ability to engage students with innovative teaching methods. Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with technology-based teaching tools (smart boards, digital platforms).
