Job Description

Role Purpose

To deliver high-quality teaching of A Level Mathematics (and potentially Further Mathematics), inspiring students to achieve their academic potential while fostering a love of learning and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for A Level Mathematics in line with the curriculum specifications (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, OCR). Support students in developing strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical reasoning skills. Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Prepare students effectively for internal assessments, mock exams, and external examinations. Contribute to curriculum development and the design of resources to support student learning Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department and across the wider school community. Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort, and achievement. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and wider school activities.
